Becoming a Motorcyclist Tue, Jan 30, 2018
Hi everyone, today I want to share my experience with motorcycles! When I was little, I was a tomboy and was always fascinated with motorcycles. As I grew up, the fascination remained but it was one of those “that’s not me, I could never muster up enough courage to be on one of those” situations.
After spending years on the back of my fiancé’s motorcycles, I finally thought it was time to get my own license. I took a motorcycle course and was probably the most nervous one in the group. I had the least amount of experience and my nerves definitely showed for the first portion of my training. I made a promise to follow through with the course though, and I put every ounce of effort and trust into the situation. After a long week of training, I got my permit and eventually my license!!!
I decided that I wanted to start slow and bought myself a Vespa 150cc. After a few months, I noticed that I wanted more power and I started riding my fiancé’s Yamaha Bolt 950cc and I was hooked! I could finally go the speed of the freeway and I had additional power to get out of any dangerous situations.
After this, I knew it was time for a big girl bike. It took months of going back and forth between bikes but I decided on a Kawasaki Ninja 650cc and I couldn’t be happier!
I finally found my dream bike and am so proud of myself for following through with my goals. Now I get to experience the world through a new perspective, my helmet! Let your interests be the fuel to get your life rollin’!
