Happy Monday, everybody!
Our busy season is quickly approaching, so we'll all be terribly cozy over the next week or so, packing like fiends. Busy times like these, it's especially important to approach each task with a sense of ownership. I've sure you've heard Brig use the term "ownership" as it relates to projects or goals. What does that actually mean? Well, on the surface, it means that you're responsible for the task. You receive a directive, and you get paid to be the one who completes it. Many people are satisfied with this superficial grasp of the idea. They do what they must to fulfill the barest spirit of their obligations and avoid the penalties of failure.
But are we content to keep our eyes down and hope to be beneath notice? I should think not. As a group of people that strives to be excellent in all things, when we take ownership of a deed, it is truly ours. From there, it logically flows that each task should be attacked with urgency. How can you respect someone who does not treat what is theirs with the utmost care?
Brace for impact!
