A Proactive Approach to Mistakes

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, correct and learn from it.

Stephen Covey

This is a great quote that is quite applicable to the SlideBelts way of doing things. None of us are perfect and each of us is taking on new challenges and tasks all of the time. In this sort of environment, it is good to remind yourself that mistakes will happen and it is not the end of the world when the do. We all make mistakes, the real test of our character and continued growth is how we handle those mistakes. I like Stephen Coveys approach. It is important to own in, acknowledge that you were at fault. Once you admit that a mistake was made, then you can move on to fixing it and learning from it to ensure that hopefully you will not make that same mistake again. Mistakes are a great opportunity for growth as long as you learn from them.

Enjoy the rest of your week team!
