More than what we were. Fri, Mar 13, 2015
“It is when we act freely, for the sake of the action itself rather than for ulterior motives, that we learn to become more than what we were” - Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
I just think this is a good thought to start the week off with. Kindness can be one of those “fake it until you make it” scenarios. When we were younger most of us probably did nice things in the hope that we would be would be rewarded in some positive way. As we get older we realize that it is actually more rewarding to do nice things just because you are a good person and that is just what you do. This same view can be applied to any aspect of your life including responsibility or punctuality. Continuous work on you actions and small aspects of your character can result in a great deal of big picture personal growth.
Thanks everyone. Have a great week!
