Agenda Part 2

Happy Monday!

While at Agenda, we had the opportunity to listen to Shepard Fairey (the founder of Obey Clothing) give a presentation. One of the things that he talked about was starting Obey with a “Punk Rock” mentality and how he still uses that mentality to drive him. He defined “Punk Rock” as “the freedom to do something that the majority of people do not see value in”. I use the term somewhat mockingly, but ultimately it describes an ethos that I am a big fan of. The belief that you are right and the rest of the world just does not know it yet, is a powerful driving force. This belief is at the core of SlideBelts and is why we are constantly striving to improve everything we do and never settle for the status quo.
