Good morning!! Happy FRIDAY!
One of the top qualities that people want to improve on -- according to the New York Times -- is "assertiveness." I agree. At SlideBelts, we want everyone to feel comfortable enough to respectfully assert their opinions. You are part of the team, and your insight is always valuable. All you have to do, is make sure that your assertion is coming from the right place -- doing good & improving those things around you. If you are nervous, refocus on your motives, remind yourself to be as innocent as a child and that you are just trying to help. Leave the ego at the door, and respectful assertiveness comes naturally.
One book I read said it best: "Cultivate boldness. Timidity is not natural; neither is boldness. Think about that for a moment. Timidity is not natural; neither is boldness"
