I've been out of the office the first part of this week attending a social media conference, so this writing is coming to you as of Friday afternoon. That being said, Matt's Loop post today is on my mind in conjunction with one of my favorite Martin Luther King quotes.
Obviously the past few months have been both really stressful and really incredible. We are seeing the business (and ourselves as employees of this business) grow up right in front of our eyes. We are taking the next step from cool start up to even cooler established business with eyes set on much bigger things. Through the ups and downs of the past few months, as Matt wrote today, you see who's really "in it to win it", so to speak. It's clear that this is true of everyone who's here, in the trenches, on the team right now.
In 'Letter From A Birmingham Jail', Martin Luther King wrote, "We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." There's strength in the multitudes, and we've shown that the past few months. One part of the business affects the other, and as long as we all continue working as a team in conjunction with one other, the sky is the limit.
The light at the end of the tunnel is upon us. Orders are almost fulfilled and guest service tickets are being answered. Let's bring it home and finish strong!
