Learn to fail. Wed, Apr 06, 2016
I recently finished reading Creativity Inc., through all the amazing points that Ed Catmull made, this one was the one that really stuck out to me.
“The cost of preventing errors is often far greater than the cost of fixing them.”
Don’t be scared to fail. Don’t try and prevent a failure, especially if you are not 100% sure it’ll will fail in the first place. And even if you do fail, who cares? If you do fail guaranteed you will learn from it and not that mistake again. In fact there’s so much value in failure, as long as you take time to dissect the reason why you failed. When you fail you find a problem, in finding the problem, you take the first step in fixing that problem. Take chances, make mistake, learn from the mistakes, and continue to grow from it!
